Egbe Creative has cast Skyy Anthony Warren as Romeo Harmless in Summit and Dime, two short films currently in development. Warren will lead both productions — a casting decision that reflects the interconnected architecture of the Englishtown universe, where the same characters move through separate stories without the films requiring each other to function.
Warren brings a substantial screen credit record spanning Marvel tentpoles, HBO Max, and TV One. His credits include featured roles in Jumanji: Next Level and War Angel, background featured roles in Black Panther and Avengers: Endgame, and television credits with HBO Max's Rap Sh!t Season 1, TV One's Fatal Attraction: Blazing Deception, For My Man, and ATL Homicide. He is represented by ACP Talent Management, Adunni Rose Talent Agency, Sweetheart Elite Talent Agency, and TDH Talent Unlimited.
Summit places Romeo at the center of a peace conference that can only happen in a city — the kind of negotiation that has no official table, where the stakes are real and the parties have no institutional protection. Dime is something else entirely: a meet cute with no cute, but all the heart it will ever need. The tonal range between the two films is significant, and Warren will carry both.
Casting the same actor across two productions before either has gone into production is an expression of confidence — in the actor and in the character. Romeo is not a type. He requires a specific instrument, and Warren is that instrument. The Englishtown community is built on the principle that the right people play the right roles, and that relationship endures across productions. Warren joining the Egbe community in this capacity is consistent with that philosophy.
Production timelines for Summit and Dime will be announced as scheduling is confirmed.
